The Blacklist Is Coming Back For Season 7 on NBC
The Blacklist is keeping strong ratings, and thus nothing is surprising that NBC has renewed the show for Season 7. The decision on renewal has been officially announced back in March 2019. However, no words have been said about a specific release date. The only thing is clear that The Blacklist returns for Season 7 at 8 P.M. to pair with two hours of America's #1 Newsmagazine "Dateline," according to the official announcement.

NBC has dropped a tweet on the network's official Twitter page, according to which, in Season 7 Raymond will become "all the older and all the wiser." Also worth noting that no official synopsis for the upcoming season has been revealed so far.
As mentioned above, it was obvious that NBC was about to pick up The Blacklist for another round since the crime drama still remains one of the network's top performers. However, it's worth mentioning that the current season premiere has lost over thirty percent of the viewing audience (-34.97%). The season premiere has garnered 4.154 million viewers with a 0.85 key demographic rating among adults (P18-49). Yet just a few series on TV could boast with such impressive figures, even during the debut season. As a result, the future of The Blacklist looks promising despite the fluctuations in the television ratings.
But still, the primary factor, which has eventually affected the decision on renewal is the response from critics and viewers. The Blacklist Season 6 has received the universal acclaim, according to the statistics provided by Rotten Tomatoes. Based on their metrics, The Blacklist Season 6 holds a score of 9.3/10 and a 100% approval rating from critics, while the viewers have rated the sixth season of the crime drama at 4.5/5 and have given a 93% rating. That's why The Blacklist is still in the NBC lineup.
The Blacklist Season 7 Release Date
As mentioned above, The Blacklist Season 7 release date is yet to be announced. However, if we gaze at the show's schedule, it becomes clear that, as a rule, each season kicked off in the fall, between September and October. Yet the current, sixth season premiered in January. As a result, we have two possible periods for the upcoming premiere, given the current schedule. In our opinion, The Blacklist will return for Season 7 this fall or next winter, in September-October 2019, or in January 2020, respectively.
Nonetheless, all the data above is only our forecast. Of course, we are looking forward to the official news from NBC. As soon as the network provides us more reliable data on the subject of a specific release date for Season 7, we will update this page. So guys, stay tuned for updates. We will keep you informed.
