Yellowstone Will Return For Season 3 on Paramount Network
Paramount Network has given an early renewal to its hit original series Yellowstone, which will return for a Season 3. The decision on renewal has been announced on the eve of the show's second season premiere, which took place on June 19, 2019. No specific release date as well as the official synopsis for the upcoming third season has been announced so far.

The positive resolution has been made due to the impressive statistics that Yellowstone has showcased last season. Paramount Network has reported that Yellowstone Season 1 averaged 5.1 million viewers per episodes (including DVR). The debut season premiere has garnered 2,829 million viewers with a 0.41 key demo among adults (P18-49). The viewership has dropped by the middle of the season, yet a finale has drawn 2,37 million viewers.
It's worth mentioning that Yellowstone has received mixed reviews, however, the viewers seemingly remained mostly impressed, while watching the first season of the drama series. On Rotten Tomatoes, Yellowstone Season 1 holds a score of 5.83/10 and a 51% approval rating from critics, while viewers have rated the drama at 4.3/5 and have given a 85% rating. On Metacritic, Yellowstone holds a score of 54/100, the rating, which seems to be quite controversial. Yet on IMDb, an overall score of Yellowstone is very high, 8.3/10 based on about 10,000 votes.
To be hones, Yellowstone is more similar to a motion picture than a TV series. No matter what the critical consensus was, the show worths continuation. Therefore, we tend to think that Paramount Network made the right decision when had given an early renewal to Yellowstone. In our opinion, if the show's 2nd installment depicts the same television ratings, the network should pick up Yellowstone for another round as well.
Yellowstone Season 3 Release Date
As mentioned above, Yellowstone Season 3 is yet to be announced by Paramount Network. Nonetheless, if we take a look at the current schedule of the show, it becomes clear that the two current seasons both have kicked off in June. Therefore, Yellowstone Season 3 premiere is most likely slated for June 2020. We don't think that Paramount Network is about to change something on the network's programming slate.
However, you should bear in mind that the data above is nothing but our forecast. And of course, we are looking forward to the additional official news from Paramount Network. As soon as the broadcaster announces a specific release date for Yellowstone Season 3, we will update this page. So guys, stay tuned for updates. We will keep you informed.
The story focuses on the Dutton family, and their patriarch John Dutton, in particular, who owns the largest contiguous ranch in the US. However, the territory is also in the sphere of interests of various group that surround it. Among them, there are various land developers, neighbor cities, as well as an Indian reservation, whose members treat Yellowstone, as their land.
In addition, Yellowstone is America's first National Park. This land, which is far from the common attention and media influence is full of violence thereby. In such conditions, where land grabs bring billions to developers, and politicians buy and sell the largest oil deposits, John Dutton is trying to preserve his ranch by any means, no matter what.
