Suits Brief Statistics

Suits managed to survive almost a decade on USA Network. In our opinion, the show deserves to air at least one more season, yet the network management has already made its decision. Suits owes its success to the impressive television ratings. The pilot episode has garnered 4.64 million viewers. The ratings were steady within the previous eighth season, and we hope the upcoming season will show outstanding results as well. The recent, eighth season premiere has drawn 1.265 million viewers (-9.51% versus Season 7) with a 0.28 key demo (-22.22%) among adults (P18-49). The viewing audience has dropped to less than a million viewers per episode that eventually caused a decision of cancellation, in our opinion.

The decision made by USA Network looks a bit premature since both critics and viewers were fully satisfied while watching the recent season of Suits. On Rotten Tomatoes, Suits Season 8 holds a score of 7.55/10 and a 100% approval rating from critics, while the viewers have rated the season at 3.9/5 and have given a 75% rating. On Metacritic, the show's average score is 65/100. On IMDb, Suits have a rating of 8.5/10 based on over 324,000 votes. A sad fact, but even despite such favorable statistics USA Network opted to cancel the show after its ninth season.
