Shinmai Maou no Testament Season 3 is a subject of dispute since three years have passed since the premiere of The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST.
Back in 2017, those who stands behind the anime announced that another anime project is in the works. We thereby have been witnessing another OVA episode, which premiered on March 28, 2018.

Even on IMDb, the anime might boast with a high score 6.8/10 ~ 1,000 votes. As a rule, if we touch a question about the US series, such indicator is more than enough for a further decision on renewal.
Yet, also worth noting that this indicator is not so valuable in Japan. Their primary goal is the number of the BD/DVD sales. However, as we said above, these data were impressive as well.
Summing up, all the factors point out that Shinmai Maou no Testament might have Season 3 in the foreseeable future.

The Testament of Sister New Devil started off in January 2015 on Tokyo MX. Soon after, TVQ, BS11, TVS, and other Japanese broadcasters began airing the series. Production IMS Co., Ltd. served as a developer of the television adaptation.
Funimation acted as a licensor of the anime in North America. The second installment titled The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST premiered on October 9, 2015, and came to an end on December 11, 2015.
Since then, there have been no official reports concerning Season 3 of the anime.
Shinmai Maou no Testament Summary
The story focuses on Basara Toujou, whose father decided to get married one more time. But soon after, he leaves the country to travel overseas.
As a result, Basara remains alone with his two cute stepsisters, Mio and Maria. However, it turns out that both his new sisters are in fact demons, while Basara himself belongs to the Hero clan.
Yet instead of fighting with his sisters, Basara decides to protect them. He signs a master-servant contract with Mio to keep watch over her.
Thus Basara found himself in a complicated situation when he is trying to protect his family while the Heroes are watching for his every step.
Shinmai Maou no Testament Season 3 Release Date
As mentioned above, we have every reason to believe that Shinmai Maou no Testament will be returning for Season 3 soon. At least, all the key indicators are pointing out the further decision on renewal.
However, since the Production IMS studio has yet to confirm the 3rd season officially, all we can do is to make a forecast on the subject.
As the 12th volume of the light novel series is now ready, we don't think that Production IMS requires more chapters for another television adaptation.
Looks like that the production on Season 3 is underway. Therefore, we might expect Shinmai Maou no Testament Season 3 this fall, in October 2019. In the worst case scenario, we will have to wait until 2020.
