Grey's Anatomy Is Coming Back For Seasons 16 and 17
Just a few hours ago, ABC picked up the network's longest-running prime-time medical drama Grey's Anatomy for two additional seasons (Seasons 16 and 17). Also, you should know that HTGAWM and Station 19 have also received their respective next seasons. The decision on renewal has been announced by Krista Vernoff, executive producer and showrunner for Grey's Anatomy and Station 19. To be honest, nothing is surprising in such a decision, made by ABC since Grey's Anatomy is the show which is still keeping impressive ratings.

This season, Grey's Anatomy lost only just a bit over fifteen percent (-15.60) of its viewing audience during the premiere. Grey's Anatomy Season 15 has garnered 6.812 million viewers with a 1.87 demographic rating (-20.09%) among adults (P18-49). However, also worth noting that the viewing audience jumped up to 7.366 million viewers (S15E19) per episode during the Season 15. ABC is proud of the results of Grey's Anatomy. "The show continues to perform as Thursday's No. 1 series this season among key Women and ranking as the No. 1 program in Thursday's 8 p.m. hour with Adults 18-49," according to the official announcement.
Once again, Grey's Anatomy has received critical acclaim during its fifteenth run, according to Rotten Tomatoes. Based on their metrics, Grey's Anatomy Season 15 holds a score of 8.1/10 and a 100% approval rating among critics, while the viewers have rated the season at 3.5/5 and have given a 64% approval rating. On Metacritic, the show's score remains above average, 6.3/10, among the viewers. On IMDb, Grey's Anatomy keeps a rating of 7.6/10 based on over 211,000 votes.

According to the official announcement, Grey's Anatomy Season 16 is set to premiere in the next television season. However, no specific release date has been announced as of yet.
